1/23/2024 0 Comments Best digital note taking tabletOn the plus side, the S-pen is supposed to be just as good as the Apple Pencil (possibly better than the 1st generation), although I'm not sure if the 2022 version of the S6 Lite comes with the new one or not (can someone confirm this?). There aren't many vetted options for Paperlike look-alikes, but supposedly writing on the screen is better than iPad + Apple Pencil without the Paperlike. Also, I wouldn't get the paper-like feel. The software is more limited (although it still has OneNote which is apparently pretty good). However, it doesn't seem quite as attuned to taking notes as the iPad. S6 Lite for $320 ($249.99 at Walmart + case) - I would be sacrificing some quality and performance but saving A LOT. But I am not sure if I really need all the performance that the iPad promises. It has the best notetaking app options and is probably objectively the best tablet for general use of these options. The iPad + the above accessories have been a staple for college students for years. IPad 9 for $480 ($279.99 at Walmart + 1st gen Pencil + Paperlike screen protector + case) - This seems like the safest choice. Because I really only need the tablet to serve one function, my main concern is price, but I also want to keep in mind the overall value of the product.įrom some light research, it looks like the main contenders for my needs are the Apple iPad 9, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and Remarkable 2. This would help me a lot because I won't have to go through endless sheets of scratch paper doing problem sets and can have all of my notes in one place (I have never been good at organizing papers/notebooks). I am about to start an engineering degree and recently have been considering getting a tablet for taking notes and annotating assignments.
